DELIVERY/EVENT SPECIALIST

Shag Carpet is seeking a full time, experienced Delivery/Event Specialist Lead. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and pleasant personality; a keen eye for detail; dependability, ability to follow directions and a strong willingness to learn.

Days: 6 Days per week with overtime (Nights & Weekends required)

Responsibility: Transport, setup, and tear down of event rentals. As the face of Shag Carpet, you will be responsible for representing the company with integrity.

Duties:

  • Deliver and setup of rental items to site timely
  • Drive a 16' or 26' box truck
  • Understand the function of all rental equipment and the ability to instruct clients on-site
  • Set up events based on provided floor plan or verbal direction
  • Event breakdown
  • Provide on-site client support and that all clients are satisfied before departure
  • Consistently communicate with manager, updating them with any delays or issues in completing routes on schedule
  • Lead, direct and motivate assigned team on-site

Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to push or pull carts of up to 100 lbs. without assistance
  • Must have Driver License and clean Driving Record
  • Able to drive 16' and 26' box truck

BOOKKEEPER

As the Bookkeeper, you will be primarily responsible for the daily accounting tasks related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processing. You will assist the Controller with account reconciliations and financial projects as needed. Candidates must demonstrate independent judgment, attention to detail, good communication skills and a self-starter that can independently and effectively manage deadlines.

Days: M-F 8:30 am - 5:30 pm

Responsibilities

  • Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, and collection
  • Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
  • Perform payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner
  • Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as needed basis

Qualifications for Bookkeeper

  • 3-5 years relevant experience working in accounting and bookkeeping or
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient skills in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
